How are you doing my little learners?
Remember, Remember the 5th of November....
Do you remember that wonderful poem that we learned in class these days.
I'm letting you some of the videos that we watched in class in order to learn about Bonfire night.
In class, we used the following video as a warming up to introduce the students to the Bonfire Night in the City of London.
We also watched the following video to learn a little bit more about this festivity in Britain.
From my personal point of view, the knowledge of the British Culture in my students is a must.
To finish the class, we read the following poem which is very well known in the UK and every 5th of November is sung.
Poem:
“Remember, remember…”
Remember, remember the Fifth of November,
The Gunpowder Treason and Plot,
I know of no reason
Why the Gunpowder Treason
Should ever be forgot.
Guy Fawkes, Guy Fawkes, it was his intent
To blow up the King and Parliament.
Three-score barrels of powder below
To prove old England's overthrow;
By God's providence he was catch 'd (or by God's mercy*)
With a dark lantern and burning match.
Holloa boys, holloa boys, God save the King!
I would love to let you a typical recipe that British people prepare in this festivity.

Very, very nice Blog! Keep doing like that!
